Re: The work mechanism of NPIV without port-uplink SAN configuration in VC-FC

I have reviewed the outputs of the OA and the corresponding host,  and find that the PWWNs on OA are just the same as the host's PFC PWWNs!
So what are the PWWNs for 20:00:74:46:a0:71:1a:0b/20:11:74:46:a0:71:1a:0b that seen on the SAN switch side?   NPIVs?

I'll open a case.  For the sake of argument here's the scenario for you:  I have all the equipment above in place with the exception of the HP CClass chassis.  ESX hosts running on Cisco Unity blades.  When I hooked up the CClass the latency started.   If I shut down the blades on the CClass the latency stops.  Boot the Blade up, latency again.  I think this eliminates most of the equipment above.

This is a very burning issue, already 400+ view but no useful record seen. Can some one share learning or resolution on this.

Not sure what you mean by HBA firmware.  I've updated all associated firmware to the latest released.

I have opened a case with HPE support and am currently talking to L2 Virtual Connect support.  I will update you all with the conclusion of that case.

we have a HP c7000 enclosure, wich has 2 flex10 modules.

One of the modules has problems with a port and we want to replace this module for a new flex 10 module.

Can we make a backup of the virtual domain in the webinterface of the virtual connect, swap the flex10 module and restore this previous made backup.

all the reply is very welcome,..thanks in advance

Sjef
